Justin Dortch is working his second summer with the
firm. After completing his first year of law school at the
Thomas M. Cooley School of Law in Lansing, Michigan, Justin
transferred to Capital University Law School where he will
complete his law studies in 2010. Justin plans to practice
in the area of civil litigation, with emphasis in
administrative law and energy regulation. Prior to law
school, Justin earned his B.A. in political science from
Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green, Ohio.
Highlights of Justin's undergraduate career include the
following:
- Division 1 college athlete, Varsity Swimming
- Senator in the Student Government
- Member of the Student Budget Committee
- Delegate to the Ohio Counsel of Student Governments
- Student Senator in the Faculty Senate
- Testimony on behalf of the University before the
State of Ohio’s Senate Finance Committee
After completing his undergraduate education and before
deciding upon law school, Justin worked in several positions
for Sky Financial Group, Inc. (now Huntington National Bank,
N.A.), coached the Pickerington High School Central Swim
Team, and the Jerry L. Garver YMCA Swim Team. Between the
two programs, Justin's swimmers earned sixteen All-American
rankings and included one National Champion.
Justin is a student member of the American Bar
Association, the Ohio State Bar Association, and the
Columbus Bar Association. He is also a member of the
Franklin County Young Democrats. He regularly donates time
to organizations such as the Junior Achievement program and
the United Way. |
