Paula Brown is an attorney and a registered nurse. She
graduated cum laude and with multiple honors from Capital
University Law School. She received the Banks Baldwin/West
Publishing Award for Outstanding Scholastic Achievement in
Clinical Practice and the CALI Excellence for the Future
Award.
Paula Brown graduated from Youngstown State University in
1976 with an Associate Degree in Nursing, and from Otterbein
College with Departmental Honors in 1982 receiving a
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing. When actively practicing
nursing, Paula worked primarily in intensive care, and
subsequently developed and implemented staff education
programs through the hospital’s training and education
department. Paula is a member of Sigma Theta Tau Nursing Honor
Society.
Paula Brown practices in both state and federal courts
focusing on criminal defense, administrative law, domestic
relations and equine law. Paula has been involved in complex
white collar litigation involving such matters as RICO, mail
fraud, money laundering and FDCA offenses. She has obtained
acquittals or dismissals in cases involving attempted murder,
conspiracy, mail fraud, rape, kidnapping, and countless
additional cases. She has been successful in numerous
appellate cases. She is an expert in equine law and has been
successful in not only having racing commission cases
dismissed but she has also recovered attorney’s fees on behalf
of clients several times from the Ohio State Racing
Commission. Paula Brown is a member of the American Bar
Association and the National Association of Criminal Defense
Lawyers. |
